A four-piece band consisting of Nozaki Mugai (vocals), Shuhei Miyazaki (guitar), Yuki Sato (bass), and Naru Furusawa (drums). Formed by college classmates, they are based primarily in Tokyo. Starting in 2025, they will produce and perform as a six-piece band, adding a saxophonist and a dub mixer.

Initially, they aimed for a post-rock and post-punk sound, but gradually shifted toward electro. Having gone through these phases, they now pursue a style centered on beats and groove, along with a free-form sound.

nozakimugai (vocals) is also active as a composer. He has composed soundtracks for films such as *The Most Harmless, Yet Far Too Aggressive* (directed by Erei Nakata, 2022), *As the Clouds Drift* (directed by Li-Ping Yang, 2024), and *Galaxy* (directed by Yuto Kijima, 2026).

In April 2026, they released the EP “Bones.”

“The tRipod Bishop” is a cross-disciplinary creative project centered around Motohiro Takahata that spans music, film, and fashion.
He is involved in stage production, composes all his own music, and directs and produces video works, engaging in a wide range of cross-disciplinary creative activities.

In 2016, his song was selected as the theme song for the film *Sub-chan*—the winner of the Fuji Kawaguchiko Film Festival Screenplay Grand Prix—and he made his acting debut as one of the two lead actors.
In 2019, his music was featured on TV Asahi’s *From the Train Window Around the World* and NHK BS Premium’s *Long Live the Angler*, among others. That same year, he won the Grand Prix at “The Torumon 14th,” a music contest produced by Yukihide Takekawa (Godiego).

In 2022, his music was used as an entrance theme for boxers at a Japanese title match held at Saitama Super Arena.
In November 2023, his digital single reached No. 1 on the iTunes Store J-POP Top Songs chart (France).

As an actor, he has appeared in the film *Sub-chan* (directed by Kanji Kashiwabara) and the stage play *Your Voice Reprised ~encore 2023~* (starring Sonmo; directed by Tomoyuki Nakano), for which he also served as music supervisor. He has also appeared in other stage productions.

In music video production, he served as general director for the music video “Baby Love Me” under the name The tRipod Bishop and as general supervisor for “Let’s get it on.”
